# Biophelion

> Biophelion grows specialty ingredients by fermentation, food aroma molecules and biosurfactants, as alternatives to tropical extraction and petrochemical synthesis. Based in Jena, Germany.

Biophelion GmbH produces high-value molecules from renewable feedstock. The aim is natural ingredients without bark extraction from threatened trees and without fossil-based synthesis.
