Lars Regestein
CEO & Co-founder

Lars is a bioprocess engineer with a strong academic background, international experience and a central role in process and method development in the field of biotechnology. Prior to founding Biophelion, he led the process development of a pilot plant where solving bioprocess problems and scaling up processes was his day-to-day business.

Till Tiso
CTO & Co-Founder

Till is a central figure in applied microbiology and biotechnology in Germany. His research contributes to the sustainable production of biotechnologically relevant substances and combines interdisciplinary cooperation with excellent doctoral funding.

Liesa Heinrich
Business Development

Liesa holds a PhD in biochemistry with practical experience in biochemistry and biotechnology. In recent years, she has worked in a startup in the field of product development and product management, developing a valuable understanding of technological requirements and the dynamics of markets and teams.

Frederick Haala
Product Owner

Frederick Haala studied biochemical engineering at the Technical University of Dortmund. He then worked at RWTH Aachen University on bioprocess development and optimization for the production and purification of eukaryotic metabolites.

Stephan Freyer (Advisor)
Technology & Strategy

Stephan is an accomplished biotechnology expert with a proven track record in bioprocess development. At BASF, he built and led the bioprocess team, successfully developing processes for chemicals, biopolymers, active ingredients, and enzymes used across diverse industries. Now, Stephan looks forward to bringing his strategic insight and collaborative approach to Biophelion, helping to chart a course for future success.
